Pepe Reina, Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol conspired to force a Barcelona shirt onto Cesc Fabregas’ body during Spain’s World Cup victory celebration, adding another chapter to the never-ending story of his possible/inevitable transfer from Arsenal to Barca. The following is a transcript of how we imagine the trio conspired to make this prank happen.

Pique: Let’s play a joke on Cesc!

Puyol: Let’s shave his head and tattoo genitalia on him!

Pique: What? No, I thought we could just-

Reina: Let’s call him on stage and have everyone clap for him!

Pique: No, that’s not really a joke…

Puyol: Let’s punch him with roller skate!

Pique: That’s awful, no.

Reina: Let’s tell him he’s a really nice guy and we value him as a friend!

Pique: Again, that’s not a prank.

Puyol: Let’s set his house on fire!

Pique: No! We’re not doing that. I just wanted to put a Barca shirt on him while you two hold his arms so I can get it on. That’s it.

Reina: Haha that’s good. But what if we hold him down and put an Arsenal shirt on him instead?

Puyol: Yeah! And then we can set his house on fire!

Pique: No, we’re doing the Barca shirt and then we’re stopping after that. Everyone understand?

Reina: Kind of.

Puyol: Not really.
